1 ½ lb lean ground beef

1 large onion, chopped

1 large can diced tomatoes with herbs and spices

1 large can beans with pork in tomato sauce

4 cloves garlic, crushed

2 tsp chili powder

1 tsp oregano

½ tsp ground cumin

½ cup red wine

Dash of hot pepper sauce

Brown beef in deep pot over med-high heat. When almost done, add onion and cook till transparent.

Add tomatoes and simmer, uncovered, for about half an hour.

Add all other ingredients and simmer for an additional 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste.

This is excellent reheated the next day but there are rarely any leftovers to reheat.
