SIMPLE MAPLE-APPLE CRUMBLE
6 large baking apples, peeled, quartered, cored and sliced
⅓ cup maple syrup
pinch of cinnamon
¼ cup room-temperature butter
½ cup flour
⅓ cup brown sugar
Mix apples with maple syrup and cinnamon and toss till coated. Spread in a buttered casserole.
In a small bowl, combine the butter, flour and brown sugar and work with a fork until the flour is absorbed. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 350F for about an hour or until apples are tender and topping is golden.
