CHOCOLATE DREAM CAKE
5 squares Baker’s Unsweetened Chocolate
½ cup butter
2 cups sugar
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
2 eggs
½ cup sour cream
1 ½ tsp baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup boiling water
icing sugar
Heat oven to 350F.
Melt chocolate with butter over hot water; cool.
Add sugar, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combine sour cream and baking soda; mix well.
Alternately blend in sour cream and flour 1/3 at a time on low speed of electric mixer.
Add boiling water; mix well. (Batter will be thin).
Pour into a greased and floured fluted tube pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove to plate and finish cooling.
Dust with icing sugar.
