BEEF KEEMAH CURRY
1½ lb lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1½ Tbsp curry powder
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small can tomato paste
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup plain yogurt
Brown beef in a pot over med-high heat, add onions and continue cooking until onions are soft.
Stir in spices, add tomato paste and 2 cans of water. Heat through.
Add frozen peas and heat, stirring occasionally.
When peas are heated through, stir in yogurt.
Taste and adjust seasoning, adding a few drops of hot sauce.
Serve on a bed of rice.
Substitute two cans of lentils for the beef for a vegetarian version.
