1 cup chopped bacon

3 onions, diced

leftover pork (chops or roast), diced

½ round of kielbasa, diced

3-4 diced tomatoes

1 box mushrooms, cut in 4

1 Tbsp sugar

generous dash of beef bouillon concentrate (Bovril)

black pepper, to taste

1-2 jars sauerkraut, drained

Fry the bacon in a large pot; remove bacon and set aside.

Add onions to pot and sauté a minute, then add meats, sauté 5 min.

Return bacon to pot, add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.

Bring to a gentle boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve with some nice rye bread and beer.
